In seeking to love God and our neighbor, we are committed to building relationships and reaching our community with the gospel. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said to his disciples, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” His command was to make disciples. The other verbs—going, baptizing, and teaching—describe the various ways we make disciples of all nations.
As a church we seek to provide opportunities for gospel outreach.
These events are relaxed approaches. Some members open their homes and host game nights. Every year, one family holds a harvest festival that includes hay rides, pony rides, delicious food, and a warm campfire. These are opportunities to get to know visitors and build relationships.
The past five years, we have staffed booths at local fairs such as the Radish Healthy Living Fair, Streetfest, and the Celtic Highlands Games. Bibles are handed out and the gospel is presented in a unique and enjoyable format.
As part of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church we support worldwide outreach which includes the Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension (CHMCE) and the Committee on Foreign Missions (CFM).
